I preferred not to airplay it. Review at http://singersong.homestead.com/newwriters-2.html * Private Diane Cluck : Oh Vanille Ova Nil (US,2003)***°° Tr.1, “All I bring you is love” 3 min Tr.2, “Half a million miles from home” 4 min Tr.3, “Telephathic Desert” 5 min Tr.10,”Your million Sweetnesses” 3 min Tr.11, “Wild deer at dawn” 3 min 18 Fantastic and very beautiful singer-songwriter’s item. Highly recommended. Magical. U omhelst romantisch. Recommended band !! They are invited to play live on air. * In Julia’s Mind Scene (NL) Live in studio: approximately max. 25 min ?? -75 Review : http://progressive.homestead.com/holland.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * private Celestine : demo (S,2004)**°° Tr.3, “The lost sun” 3 min Tr.4, “Under our blanket” 6 min 9 -85 Nice singer-songwriter project with beautiful accompaniment (acoustic guitar, soft percussion, mellotron, double bass,chimes....).. Very similar in style. On the edge of softprog here. For this track similar in style as the airplayed Celestine tracks. Review and links : http://singersong.homestead.com/BUSKERS.html * Private         Pat Orchard : Outside (2002)**° Bob Theil said the singer of In Julia’s Mind scene had similarities with Pat Orchard’s voice. Therefore this track. My favourite album of his still is “Shabby Road. Bob Theil met Pat Orchard once. They even recorded something together one day, privately, many years ago, so I’m told. Review and links : http://singersong.homestead.com/BUSKERS.html * private Bob Theil : so far… (UK,1981)***°° Tr.1, “Yesterdays” 6 min Tr.2, “Lady” 4 min 10 Tr.8, “Wind in the Wires” 5 min Tr.9, “Who are we now ?” 6 min 21 -122 Wonderful singer-songwriter release with 12-string guitar and sparse accompaniment. Soon I’ll make a separate radioshow on Bob Theil with overview of his unreleased and released work, with extra radio studio recordings. This release found this reissue lately. “Who are we now” in some way could be compared to he classical song by Roy Harper, “Another Day”, although it’s different, it is another comparable reflection. It’s my favourite track of the album. It has some fusion, prog and psych-folk and of course singer-songwriting elements. The fourth track is a fine acoustic guitar instrumental. “The New Year” is the kind of acoustic guitar/songs like I prefer to hear it : with calm wave-like evolution. Tarshito played with Adolphus more often (with sounds): http://www.homepages.better.net.au/tarshito/ Contact Paul Adolphus adolphus@linknet.com.au  More info : “since 'dawn wind' I have done a lot of work composing for dance, theatre and soundtracks. also hanging out with african south american and indian musicians. in the eighties working with Don Cherry. I now live in Byron Bay, australia a place with a lot of creative people. there are many recordings under the bridge since japan, i m working on a new album now, acoustic instrumentals. i am also planing to re visit japan this year. Mitsu Harada, produced 'dawn wind' and played keyboards, he has just built a new studio in Kyoto and suggested we do "second Wind". by the way I was performing in Belgium  in the nineties with the performance group "Chrome".” Paul Adolphus * private Bobby Brown : The enlightening beam of Axonda (US,1972)**°°° Tr.7, “The enlightening beam of Axonda” 4 min Tr.8, 6 min Tr.9, 5 min -15 I heard this found a reissue lately (Akarma records). Don’t know if it’s official. But it’s a good occasion to give airplay to the LP. Very weird mood, very individualistic singing and many self-made instruments. Unique but I’m still not sure how good it really is, because it has something amateuristic and hippie like and outsider psychedelica at the same time. At least strange, odd or weird. Second site I might like at most. Will still need a few listens. Tr.2, “Night at the asylum” 5 min (Tr.4, “Your little Pawn” (first part instr.) 2 min) Wish I had more airplay time. Beautiful singer-songwriter item. I am still looking for his later work. This is Bobb’s first album. He has weird high pitched voice. The unusual voice reminds me a little bit at Pavlov’s Dog too. Info : http://www.psychedelic-music.de/pmdb/db3/db_band.php4?id=479 & http://www.orpheusrecords.dk/bobb.htm & http://www.weirdsville.com/featured7.html If time left : * Bobbsongs Bobby Trimble : Jupiter Transmission (UK,1982)***** Tr.1, 6 min Tr.2, 5 min (Tr.3).. Perhaps a more consistent album, with much better production, very good arrangements. It has some weirdness and still it’s very accessible. Unique. Hope I can afford to buy “Life beyond the Doghouse” (rec.1983-1986) soon. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other playlists : http://psychevanhetfolk.homestead.com/2004.html General index page : www.radiocentraal.be/psychevanhetfolk More detailed index page : http://psychevanhetfolk.homestead.com/index.html Receive weekly this playlist before the radioshow with new reviews and additional comments : / ontvang wekelijks playlist vòòr de radio-uitzending : Subscribe / schrijf u in : psychevanhetfolk-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
