Radio Program "Dreams Wide Awake" at http://www.unf.edu/~jeller/main.html or http://www.unf.edu/~jeller/dreams.html- WOSP 90.5fm Jacksonville, FL, USA "Dreams Wide Awake is a radio show hosted by Zero the Hero (aka Jason Ellerbee), that airs Friday nights from 6 to 10 PM, Eastern time. It is a music show that features progressive rock and related music, such as fusion, symphonic, RIO, electronic, Canterbury, zeuhl, and other traditionally un-radio-friendly musics. I try to bring to the audience wildly experimental, eclectic, adventurous, and hard-to-find music, from "well-known" artists like King Crimson, Yes, or Frank Zappa, to relative unknowns like Magma, National Health, or Änglagård. Check my playlists to get an idea what this music is, or read this excellent definition of "progressive" music (which I did not write, alas).Dreams Wide Awake is one of many student-run radio shows on WOSP Osprey Radio broadcasting from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL."Contact : Dreams Wide Awake, c/o Jason Ellerbee, 6501-1 Mussells Acres Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32258, USA. Insert Show (Ireland) Prog radio show at http://www.nexus.carleton.ca/~sean/prog/radio/ : "Insert Show Name Here has been broadcasting progressive, experimental and avant-garde music on the airwaves since May 2000. It airs every Wednesday night/Thursday morning from 2-7 AM EDT. For those people on the West Coast that's an 11 PM start time, while for Europeans it starts around 7 or 8 AM on Thursday morning. If you're in the Ottawa area, you can listen by turning your dial to 93.1 FM. Otherwise, you can tune in to the show from wherever you are in the world by going to CKCU and using their real-audio connection. I have had listeners from as far away as Germany and Israel, and I love hearing from them. I play music covering a wide range of sub-genres, including RIO (Rock in Opposition), Zeuhl, Electronic, Canterbury, Krautrock, Symphonic Rock, and so on. While most of the content has something to do with progressive music, that isn't really a hard and fast rule. From time to time I'll play some jazz, folk, or whatever else strikes my fancy. Overall, though, I'd rather err on the side of celebrating the obscure and inaccessible, because community radio is all about broadcasting what might not otherwise make the airwaves."
