Strange experiences...
At the age of three I had taken the sleeping room of a new home where before children had been locked up for days. At night I heard voices, breathing and knocking on the wall, which also responded to my knocking. I got scared a bit and slept with a sheet over my head until I was 12. In my puberty I’ve had more strange experiences. Just recently, I came to live with someone where somebody just before had committed suicide. Again, there were strange appearances, like unexplainable lights and light changes, a telephone call with odd unrecognisable mechanical voice, electric equipment which fails, even violently, toys that began to make their electronic sounds, the electronic gate that was activated at a certain point and so on, without showing much of its purpose, except that they occurred on certain specific moments where I had a moment alone.
Making contacts...
The compiler of the recordings on this CD also claims there might be certain “rules” as if there cannot be given true evidences or messages that are of an immediate influenceable nature, while seemingly-fitting coincidences might be a kind of general rule. Old Egyptians claimed that the soul-double or Ba of someone who just died might be still around for a while, but this also means that this isn’t the person himself anymore. Other sources, like Shamanism claim to be able to get contact with someone’s double, even when it has no self-conscious directing; it is able to question the personality with its characteristics, perhaps the same way we can get into contact with certain archetypes by means of mind projection. We don’t know if we really get contact with the real person behind this or not.
Appearances...
So because of the strange experiences, I investigated the net as to what existed about this and found some pictures of lightning globes or clouds. Seemingly the person with whom I was living now, moved before from another house where many more strange occurrences took place. When I saw pictures taken inside the house, especially in the attic tons concentric lightning globes could be seen, some of them even rather close and big. She moved because there were too many strange things happening. Before she moved she found out that many people had died in a fire at that place. Not just here, but anyone in the environment had seen and witnessed strange things. All this was still in my mind.
'Electronic Voice Phenomena'
That’s why I borrowed a dvd from “White Noise” a film with a somewhat demystified ending if you ask me. It was also about EVP (= electronic voice phenomena). A bit later on television I saw a funny looking guy who seemed to be able to see ghosts and he communicated with them. He also delivered their personal, and for these people touching, messages to the relatives they were with, giving them certain relieving answers they were still looking for. The way he did this communication took away some of my left over fears on the subject. A bit later I got the chance to review this CD, an album which seemed to give a structured background on the phenomenon of EVP.
Explanations for EVP
There are different explanations of how EVP come to existence, although it’s occurrence within their specific contexts, remains a total mystery. The investigators interpret them as representing voices of those who died. For some a few of these recordings are associated with the existence of extraterrestrial activity. I once learned from a specific book that not well processed experiences and traumas often are expressed by images and ideas of rituals (=standing for processes) and Satanism (=standing for a bad inner organisation), while processes that had no direct connection with the inner’s person development and personality were associated and expressed by Aliens. Researcher Jürgenson got somehow the idea or message that there exist some kind of half mechanically controlled sensitive radars in space that investigated and transmitted the unconscious impulses of people. I can imagine it is possible that such a device from human origin (like American or Russian) could exist, causing a transfer process. In theory, ‘white noise’ could inhabit certain hidden or lost send/transmitted messages that with some coincidence and wishful interpretation make some sense. There is a theory that EVP recordings are caused by the effect of telepathic stimulation or telekinesis. I can imagine that a chaos of frequencies could bundle a couple of so called “lost frequencies” until a sensible frequency accidentally is reached which intercepts messages sent before on a certain perhaps even different frequency. This idea could be some possible explanation if not many of the recorded voices are expressions in a mixture of languages, as kind of relatively easy to understand mini-puzzles, with a portion of making sense, even when more badly received messages are given most meaning afterwards with a degree of interpretation. Never the less the most serious investigators in the end get more and more very directed messages that are so much to the point that the factor of coincidence becomes rather small. All messages are very short, are spoken very fast and only with a number of well fitting syllables for the short time of its transmission. (Most recordings are found on tape only afterwards).
Investigators of EVP
One of the first serious investigations is by the Swede Friedrich Jürgenson back in the ‘50. Various of his recordings are added here. In the US it was especially George Meek and his Spiricom organisation, who did parallel research work. Raymond Cass (UK), and Dr. Konstantin Raudive (Latvia) have here also a small collection of examples added. The recordings are in different sections. A first part are the ‘polyglot voices’ or messages in mixed languages. Another part is sung, and another small part sound more mechanical, although not with too much difference if you ask me. These are associated with alien or extraterrestrial messages, but who knows they are from the future or are just more “mechanical”= more automatic responses from the unconsciousness without intervention from any commission agent or other phenomena. In between these recordings there also is a series of the strange phenomenon of direct responses on questions. Each section has an introduction by the investigators, with a fine conclusion at the end. All is presented like a captivating documentary, with a resume of the hard work of some of the most famous investigators.
Different methods
Trying to get contact with the afterlife exist already for a long time. Séances and the use of the Ouija board (-which relates in use and effect with automatic writing-) are nowadays most known for practical use. I read about Oujia and automatic writing, that, whatever it causes, it has a certain influence on, or cooperates with the unconscious mind of those who practices it. In this way it is rather dangerous to use it randomly because it opens a gate to the unconsciousness including its destructive inclinations, with an influence on the mental stability of the practitioner. The phenomena from the Ouija board can be caused to be set in action stimulated by set up astral spirits, who arose as parallel projections of the human mind and began to live a life on their own. Rarely higher entities interfere with this method and in this area, even if there exist a possibility of communication by means of the energy projection field of the astral world. Even then, their message is, like with another known form of contact, the ‘channelling’, is filtered through the ‘mental receiver’, the human being, who perhaps even directs it with his limitations of perception and understanding.
Any how, communication from the afterlife evolved through time. Even Edison believed in the possibility of recording voices from the deceased. He tuned his transistors on 670 Hertz for these purposes. Human voice expresses itself usually between 20 and 20,000 Hz while EVP mostly occurs between 30-300 hertz.
Nowadays there are even appearances on television screens and recordings, like we could also see in the movie “White Noise”.
Investigation
As bonus track, the material from the 7” from Constantin Raudive’s book “Breakthrough” from 1971 is added. The recorded voices in fact don’t sound so inhuman or “dead” as we could expect from a ghost or from the dead from a horror movie. Scientists discovered lately that people who are about to die or with one foot in the grave have a change in their voice pitches and are more likely the ones who sound like a voice from the grave. The recorded voices are more like from the living, and somehow could be interpreted by a sceptic to have come simply from some radio transmission. We could wonder if they are deliberate transmissions or not, and if it comes from a parallel world or are just lost coincidental recordings. It is certain characteristics however that make them at least odd and mysterious. The messages are short, and are probably deliberately in languages that give the most clear pronunciations like English with a more random grammar, German or Latvian or in combination with some other languages. Raudive’s collection especially is remarkable. Each context, of ‘question with answer’ are added. It’s here where a few times Raudive’s name is pronounced. Especially this collection comes closest to a possible proof that there is at least something.
